Here goes it.

2013 is approaching.  Time to bust out the list of the new year resolution, the things we want to better and the hopes for the year ahead.  With that being said, I have a few thoughts on my mind that I hope to build on. . .and strengthen.  Of course, this past year has been something that I can look back at and smile.  I remember the resolutions I had written down for 2012.  Did I complete them?  No.  Did I make the attempt?  Of course.  One resolution that came to mind from this past year was the completion of my devotional.  3/4 was finished and unfortunately, I didn't make the effort or have the time to complete the rest.  I will say that it made a major difference to set time apart with the Big Man Upstairs.  This is something that I hope to finish as 2013 is welcomed.  Three other thoughts:

I've always been on a roller coaster when it comes to maintaining mind, spirit & body. Especially body.  I have this runner's, eating clean and exercising high for a good month.  Then. . .it slowly declines and then works its' way back up.  The times that I find myself most consistent is throughout the summer.  Once school resumes, it's different.  Stress finds its' way to interfere with how I take care of myself.  However, this is something I want to change. . .for good.  I'm approaching my last semester at Southern!  {thank GOD}, and with a different schedule of the BSN program, I have more time on my hands to take care of myself- and this is something I want to commit to.

I have a tendency to over-analyze  e v e r y t h i n g.  I've noticed that because of this, I'm paranoid and overly cautious.  It can be nice trait to have but it works against you.  Take everything as it is.  Don't change a statement when its' made and don't find a way to seek fault.  It is what it is.  BIG note to self.

+ SAVE $$$
I will admit, I cannot budget my money.  At all.  I had an internship at Glendale this past summer, and my paychecks of 600+ would be gone.  Faster than I wanted it to.  Ugh.  The thought of it makes me sad.  Once May hits, I'm out of Tennessee and in California for good.  I hope to land a job as your future nurse ;) - and SAVE the dinero.  Oh, and pay back some big loans :{. . .but for the most part, save.  Not sure for what- but to have the self control of placing things in my savings account is something I need to learn how to do.
