The Future Avila's

I had the pleasure of taking engagement photos for the newlywed couple to be -- Rachel & Mikey.  Despite California's hot hot heat, it was still a lovely day for some photos, and they made my job a lot easier considering they're both photogenic and absolutely adorable to capture.  Wishing you both nothing but the best along with God's guidance as your wedding day approaches.  I hope you enjoy the pictures!

SIA

One week left on the west.  I'll be boarding a plane back to Tennessee to be greeted by country landscape and humidity.  If there is anything that I have learned from moving from Houston, Texas to Southern California California to Tennessee, it is this:  Take in your surroundings and make the best of each and every situation.  I have learned to adjust despite the challenge of welcoming change.  This is a quality I will carry with me wherever I go.

"set me free, baby."

(currently infatuated with this man's vocals).

A.

I have come to the conclusion that I must stop caring for the things I cannot change.  So much wasted energy to only be greeted by an ugly outcome.  If it's meant to be, it's meant to be.  If not, well then, the Big Man upstairs has an alternate plan I have yet to understand.  With that being said, here's to the act of acceptance and lowering my pride.

Slacker

. . .I'VE MISSED YOU, BLOGGER!!!  I have definitely been slacking on the updates.  My apologies!  Things have gotten a little hectic since my internship started.  I'm beginning week four.   Only one more week and this whole experience will be over.  It has flown by way too fast, but I am INCREDIBLY (I can't emphasize enough how wonderful Glendale Adventist Medical Center has been to all of us interns) grateful for this opportunity.

A few things before I call it a night:

I)  I never valued sleep as much as I do now.  Back to back twelve hour shifts is no fun when little sleep is involved.  Once 2130 hits, I'm craving my bed.  I'm hoping to take this habit back with me once school resumes.

II)  Randy.  You.  Are.  The.  Best.  Boyfriend.  Ever.  Ever.  Ever.

III)  Michael Phelps, you're a beast of a swimmer (yep, Olympic fever over here).
